Andalusia Ballet presents "Peter and The Wolf"

On November 12, 2009, members of the Andalusia Ballet came to Sparta Academy to present a production of Peter and the Wolf. Callie Hatchett, Assistant Artistic Director of Andalusia Ballet, came to work with the 3rd and 4th graders for several days to teach them about basic dance steps, music, and creative movement. I believe the students all enjoyed her time with them! Seven boys were chosen from the group to play Hunters in the production. Above you see the entire cast, including the Sparta students who participated. Two of the primary cast members, Addie the Butterfly, and Kelsey the Cat, are students at Sparta. I believe they enjoyed sharing their talents and passion with their fellow students. The entire student body at Sparta, K3, K4, K5, and 1 - 12 grades got to see the performance. Everyone worked hard getting ready and had a great time during the presentation. Thank you Sparta Academy for allowing us to share this community production with you! Also, a great big thanks to Callie Hatchett and the dancers at Andalusia Ballet for all of the time and effort they put into this to make it the best production of Peter and the Wolf yet!
