Kelsey's 13th Birthday Party - Happy Birthday teenager!

Yay! We finally have a teenager in our house! Oh boy - we have a teenager in our house. Well, I guess Kelsey will determine which mood we should adopt. She is such a joy to be around most all of the time, I tend to think we can make it through her teenage years relatively unscathed -- fingers crossed. Most of these pictures were taken with Kelsey's new digital camera! She is so excited to finally have a camera of her own.

Here is our lovely new teenager. She looks so grown up!

Davis and Kelsey on Friday morning before Davis went to school. Needless to say, Kelsey did NOT have her mind on school this day as we were to be picking up each of her friends over the course of the day to begin her celebration.

Here is Harper (Kelsey's lifetime friend from Daphne - they have known each other all of Harper's life as she was born one year after Kelsey), Kelsey, and Kate (a ballet friend of Kelsey's) {top to bottom}. We still have yet to get one more girl - she should be here shortly! The girls decided to cool off in the pool before getting ready to go to dinner.

All of the girls, Richard, Topie (Harper's mom), and I loaded up to go to Ruby Tuesday in Greenville for dinner. After that, we went to see a movie at the theatre in Greenville. Of course it was rated PG13! We met Kelsey's Nana (Susan) at Ruby Tuesday and she brought the cookie cake - thanks Nana!

Goofy girls!

Here are some pictures on the land on the Sepulga River that we just bought. We are going to build a deck on the shelf where Rachel and I are standing. This is our view of the river as it so lazily flows by. We stopped by here on our way to Point A Lake, near Andalusia, on Saturday to drop off some equipment to help clear it.

The story here is -- 3 couples have gone in together to buy this land. The Hendrix's, the Cassady's, and us. We formed a company, Anzopia, LLC, to make the purchase that is named after the 3 women - Angie, Zebbie, Utopia (Topie's real name). We have future plans to build a small cabin, very rustic, which will most likely be called River Laurel Kayak and Angling Club. I am sure there will be many more stories that are made here!

  1. Sounds like a great birthday. Such lovely young women - looks like they're having a blast. And so interesting about the Sepulga River land purchase; hope this materializes in the near future.

    Keep 'em coming!
